First International Guest Speaker

I want to give special thanks to Rui Yang for being our first international guest speaker on the 29th of April! We may have more international speakers later this season.

Speaking on her experience in uni, sugar milling, water management, semi-professional football (She was a player for the Sunshine Coast Wanderers), and physio, she emphasized the essential skills learned in the real world. Yang said specifically that the craftsman and operators will not work with you if you do not establish rapport with them. It does not matter how technically gifted or academically accomplished you are. In her footballing career, she has gained experience in collective bargaining. It made for an eye opening talk.

Here is her Linkedin if you are interested: https://www.linkedin.com/in/rui-pu-yang-12a91b38/?originalSubdomain=au.

Till the next meeting. Cheers!
